Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Courses with counting comps through the winter

    Wondering what courses there are (say 30 miles outside of Dublin radius) that have counting comps through the winter.

    I know that the links ones will + Carton house... are there any others that people know of?

    Surely coastal courses would be the best bet? Most inland will need to be placing everywhere for the winter.

    Think Athy was still qualifying last weekend at least. Seem to get a bit later into the year than most inland parkland courses

    Arklow, first Friday of the month, winter series. Starting this Friday. Also, The European have loads of singles too.

    Will Arklow and European Club definitely be counting though and not placing everywhere?

    Can only speak for Arklow. Definitely counting as that's the idea of the competition. Could well be preferred lies on the fairways if after rain.

    yep, id expect the links courses to be mostly counting through the winter.

    its the inlands that im really interested in (in the leinster area). carton monty is the only one that i know of that goes through the winter.

    milicent make a big play of being the 'driest course in leinster' but arent clear if they play counting comps through the winter (i asked)... any members on here?

    Having never played Carton House before how do they manage to keep the place dry enough in December/January for there to be qualifying comps?

    Tempted to go down in the new year if the place isn't a bog like 99% of other parklands on the island.
