Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Primastar vs Transit Custom

    Hi,

    In the market for used van. Looking for 2013-15 Primastar or 2013-14 Custom. Would anyone have had experience as driver with both of them. It will be my first van so any tips what to look for would be great. Would either be better then other when it comes to reliability.

    I would say the Primastar would be more reliable, the Customs are a bit hit or miss. The 1.6 engine in the primastar is the one to get.

    Yep as said above the Primastar with the 1.6 is the way to go....

    All the same thing, the Fiat, Renault, Nissan, Opel, Vauxhall versions. all built in Luton.

    I think the Primastar changed its name to the NV300 by the time that engine came out (late 2014 I think)

    VW Transporter is the best Van out there in that size of van by a country mile. The 2.0 litre in it is the one to go for.
