BMW i3 REX - service cost

Just got a quote for a standard 2 year service on a BMW i3 REX from a dealer in Cork of €598 (includes changing the REX engine fluids & brake fluid).

Is this a typical main dealer cost for servicing an i3?

Are there any independent alternatives for servicing an i3 in Cork (its a 2017, so out of warranty)?

Last time I used the main dealer it was €400 for the 2 year service on the Rex- only brought it there for warranty reasons- it’s now long out of warranty and I get my local guy to do it, oil & filter, check all the usual brakes & suspension bits, don’t bother with the brake fluid change- it’s usually somewhere around €120-€140 but they swap out my summer to winter wheels too- 146,000km’s no issues

    Thanks handpref.

€400 was kind of the ballpark I anticipated, but nearly €600 is blowing my mind!

I think I need to look elsewhere.

I can't find Hybrid & Electric Cars Cork online anymore. I assume they folded, though they seemed to have good reviews?

Any independent electric car specialists out there in Cork area?

It’s just a scooter engine Kevin, maybe get a good reputable workshop and they will do it handy enough. No need for ev specialists, that €600 quote is ridiculous.

That included moving over to winter wheels- wipers pushed it up a bit-

€400 at a main dealer for me the one and only time I got it serviced. I'd agree with handpref. Once its out of warranty just get any reputable garage to change the oils and filters.

Thanks for the comments. Found an independent in Cork with EV experience. Significantly cheaper than main dealer & will post info here after they do the service next week.
