Seeking Suggestions for a Small Crossover Type Car

    Hello,

My elderly Dad is looking to change his car. Can anyone suggest a small crossover type car? Something like a Suzuki Ignis or Dacia Stepway.

If anyone could suggest similar cars to the Ignis or Stepway I would be grateful. We looked at Suzuki SX4 but the insurance was very high

Will also be looking at Nissan Note & Honda Jazz. Of if anyone has any suggestions for cars similar to that.

So, basically something small, with hatchback & utility like fold flat seats etc. Preferably with a raised / higher seat position.

    Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Do you have a budget in mind? Makes it hard otherwise.

If buying new then the Yaris Cross comes to mind. Should be available soon, right size, very economical and standard Toyota reliability.

Yes Sorry I forgot to put the price range on my earlier post. It would be around 7000 - 8000 Euro. So Second Hand.

Honda Jazz is probably the best one there but they are rather expensive. Some other options:

    Hyundai ix20:

    Kia Venga:

    Toyota Verso-S:

The Nissan Note would be the most suitable given your budget. It would be much cheaper to run than a Venga/Ix20 or Jazz. It has a well designed and very spacious interior although the rear seats do not fold down completely flat.

When you say "cheaper to run than a Venga/ix20 or Jazz" what exactly does that mean given that all these cars are all much of a muchness?

Step away would be a good choice as it's a very simple and robust car with one on the highest reliability scores of any car today. At your budget you should get a reasonable one.
