Sale agreed, what should I be doing, is it a waiting game?

First time buyer, went sale agreed two weeks ago.

Wednesday: Booking deposit paid - Mortgage broker informed and valuation requested - Solicitor informed

Monday: Engineer report complete - EA informed I was happy to continue - Solicitor Documents signed and sent back (agreement, stamp duty, pre-purchase questionnaire)

Quiet since I'm hoping that it's all being done in the background. Is there anything else I should be doing? I keep getting asked by people what the closing date is, should I know this?

You should make sure that you have your insurance sorted. Building insurance can be done quickly but your life insurance or mortgage protection insurance can sometimes throw up some surprises that can take a bit of time to sort out especially if you ever smoked, are overweight, have ever had any underlying conditions or a family history of a specific illness.

KEEP LOOKING. Sales fall through all the time and you don't want to be starting from zero.

The quiet was killing me, so got in touch with my mortgage broker to see what's happening. She suggested I ask the estate agent if the valuer has been out. No, unfortunately, there has been no movement so trying to sort that.
