I'm about to buy my first Mercedes (Used 2015-2017) & need some advice please

    Hi Folks,

    I rented a Mercedes E series several years ago for a weekend & I was thoroughly impressed at the time. I've now decided to pull the trigger on buying a used one. As I have no experience at all as a Merc owner I want to be informed before I go to market, in particular on the topic of major service milestones that could cost me big bucks soon after I buy.

    I'm thinking about major outlays like timing belts/ chains or other major service intervals & when they fall due 150,000km?, 200,000km? etc.


    Appreciate the advice of those in the know here on what major works need to be done, at what intervals, typical costs or if there are other pitfalls to inspect for when looking at used Mercedes E class's 2015-2017.
