Going to try watch as much of this as I can, much prefer watching on a YouTube stream

4 cars crashed at the top of raidillon, half an hour full course yellow. No replays of the crash yet which normally isn't good

All drivers involved are okay but that was horrible crash. That photo speaks for itself

Announced today that ACO is scrapping GTE and bringing in a GT3 style class from 2023.

Hopefully that means more manufacturers coming back. The next few years could see another golden era return!

Is Le Mans not available on Discovery+ in Ireland? Eurosport and their ads seemingly every couple of minutes soon gets old

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,861 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

It is, I'm watching on the app. Hasn't been an ad break yet.

No ads on Sky yet either but the signal keeps dropping with the weather. Good start so far, hopefully it keeps up like this.

Sports aren't available on the SkyQ offer of free 12 months in case anyone else encounters this

Hypercar to be a scorcher for 2-3 years until the undisputable demise of the top level class. Until then enjoy

Toyota Vs Ferrari Vs Porsche Vs Peugeot Vs Cadillac worksteams at lemans.

    Any particular questions?

Going back again this year (ferry on Monday)

Have been I think it's 6 or 7 times now so may be able to answer a few questions

What a grid. Ferrari the quickest in qualifying what was to be expected. Toyota has the experience to endure the 24 hours and their drivers made fewer mistakes than the Ferrari ones during the season so main favorite. Still we have the Penske & Cadillac as dark horses in there. Peugeot lacking the speed, Glickenhaus & Vanwall as privateer entries.

Scattered heavy rain and a couple of dumb lapses in concentration have us into extended slow zones and safety car periods, but the first couple of hours had absolutely the best racing in the HC category that we've seen in years and years, among a top category.

Hopefully as the race starts again and settles into the evening we will see more if it.

We have a dedicated LeMans thread, lets not mix up the threads

6 hours of Fuji this weekend, I might try watch it since there’s no F1. Quali is 10:40pm on Saturday and the race is at 8pm on Sunday, if I’ve figured out the time difference right. It should be interesting to see Ferrari and Toyota going at it.

Not endurance racing, but Indycar have their final race of the season this weekend. Coverage is from 7pm on Sunday, green flag might be around 7:20pm or so (never sure with the US races). It is shown on Sky Sports F1, so assume you'll have access to it.

Thanks for that. They’re seldom consistent on coverage coming to air and then to green flag. Times I’ve turned it on assuming pre-race build up and all of a sudden they’re into green flag racing.
