140 million babies a year. About half are women.

So 700 million women. So <1% reduction in women in the world. Not that big an issue. Throw in an odd war here and there and things will balance out.

Secondly plenty of people are unable to find wives. Plenty of bachelors and spinsters in this world, who even at a 50/50 split can't find a significant other. Unless these numbers become statistically significant, this is a non-issue.

I know that but it still can help with number of other issues caused by gender imbalance like loneliness for example. And having less children in long term will bring positive effects like depopulation or improving peoples life.

Your children future is not that "wide" social issue. Having 3 sons when already half of males in your city cant find woman partner is selfishness not narrow perspective. It is also more cultural issue than people's scope issue:

The only way this will end is to end the systemic discrimination against females in these countries (and certain immigrant communities in countries like the UK which are reported to practise it).

South Korea had quite a lot of sex-selective abortion in the 80s and early 90s but as their culture has modernised it has fallen out of favour.

It was a military dictatorship until the late 80s and didn't really become a proper democracy until the mid 90s. It was a very traditionalist society, and (as in China) the influence of Confuscianism valued boys over girls. It's changed a lot in the last 35 years (as have we).
