First mountain top finish of this year's tour and before the rest day on Monday.

Pog to obliterate everyone again, or just sit back and follow wheels? Stage 7 of the Dauphine went over Col du Pre and Cornet de Roseland, but didnt finish at Tignes. That was won by Padun who isn't here, Porte was 2nd and Lopez 3rd that day.
May be a day for the breakaway again if he's not interested and Ineos or someone else don't take up the chase, too early for Dan?

I think another 20+up the road again today.

    Roglic is out.

I think it boils down to one decision. Does Pogacar go defensive already or does he want to obliterate these guys and completely put the Tour to bed.

Can Ineos make a few marginal gains? Doesn't really look like it, but stranger things and all that.

Could see Pog just glue himself to Carapaz's back wheel for today and see where it takes him. He has 5 mins on him with another TT to come.

It’s got to be conservative from Pog today, otherwise he’s going to be 20k into the race with no teammates

it will be up to the other GC teams now to do something......they will have to do something early to try to gain time/put pressure on Pog.
they cant let him on there wheel until the last 5/10k because he will just leave them in his dust.....just like yesterday

Dan looking to go with Letour, think they spent a fair bit of time riding together between the two main groups on Friday's stage.

    Manky looking day for it

Pogacar is going to go into the rest day with a 5 minute lead.

I think they are all limbing to the rest day so they can regroup and look at their options

    GC has been destroyed

feel for WVA ...He is doing his best to hang there but he is not built nor did he train for this
And wonder if he is destroying his Olympic options. MVdP has gone home already

I actually think that its not over yet . Everything has played in to Pogs hands but maybe some very hot weather, some cross winds
Some early attacks with some teams working together

    Everyone has an achilles heel

Pidcock is racing a MTB World Cup race today in Les Gets today, not too far away from the route of today's state of TdF

8' 14" at the start of the day , at the end of the stage today O Connor wont be in yellow.

Edit : O connor pushing on he might just get yellow definitely a big incentive taking home a yellow TDF jersey

Sonny Colbrelli for the mountain top win!
Seriously, how is he better than Dan Martin in these mountains?
It could be down to the conditions- Sonny has always carried a fair bit of heftiness with him-- I have a sneaking regard for pro-cyclists with more than 4 or 5 per cent fat

Kelly's voice is totally gone, hard to listen to under normal circumstances, but even worse now.

Would love to see Quintana finish this off.

odd crash/off there from McNulty:confused: brain freeze from the cold descent ?

And Jasper de Buyst has... burst... although Hatch has decided to call him 'Baust' for some reason.
