Images are not loading on Amazon and GitHub.

    Might be an AWS issue.

Issue is with fastly (confirmed) and aws

    It's Fastly?

    This is on BBC News

A number of leading media websites are currently not working, including the Guardian, Financial Times, Independent and the New York Times.

The UK government website - gov.uk - is also down.

Affected websites displayed the message: "Error 503 Service Unavailable".

Early reports have suggested it could be related to Fastly, a cloud computing provider, which underpins a lot of major websites.

I've noticed a couple of sites acting weird this morning. Thought it was my system. But they might be using Fastly.

I note that the Irish Indo site hasn't been affected.
This just shows that if it is hackers then they really know what they're doing!

Sites like theverge.com and polygon.com down as well. Why are so many sites dependent on one CDN provider?

Or that the Indo and other sites are using different cloud services.

I was being sarcastic in pointing out that the Indo isn't a news site but forgot the smiley face :pac:

Yeah, no problems here either. Reddit is the only one down that I can see here.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

and according to the indo - they are reporting a wildly exaggerated "HALF the world's websites are down"
