Erm..... I'm gonna have to go with... Meh.

Typical 90s dance fare. Wasn’t massively gone on it.

Shania Twain - Any Man Of Mine

This was just a bit too sickly sweet for me. I don’t mind Shania normally and I'm a big fan of country... but this song I wasn’t particularly gone on if I’m honest. Not terrible by any stretch, but not great either.

Way too repetitive. With a 6 minute runtime a song needs to be more diverse than doo doo dah dah on loop to hold my attention. SKIP.

Will post the TV Themes that would have done well shortly and then that's it from me tonight!!!

OMG kinda wishing I spent more time on some of my other categories now, wondering what else I submitted :eek:... Well like any good SHEEP if you peak early the only way is down... :pac:

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 50,988 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Funnily enough the best TV themes for me are (mainly) for kids TV shows. They’re like the old TV ad jingles, get stuck in your head and remain there forever… surprisingly, very few of you went down this route…

So did you go for something like the above? Or down a different road....

    See y'all at 7pm tomorrow!!!

Drive it Like You Stole it - Sing Street

This is a cracking entry, would you believe I hadn’t seen Sing Street  This entry basically changed that – what a CRACKING movie. Loved it. Anyways I just loved this a little bit more than the others in the top 3 which allowed it to pinch the win in this category.

(Werewolf players may understand what my rambling about it on Sunday evening last was now finally :pac: )

    WHOO-HOO!! :D
Double win if you hadn't seen the film and enjoyed that too

What a round to win, I'm not a big one for musicals :p
I love Sing Street though, class film and this song is a cracker

Oh, another round coming? 90s, my speciality...

    Faithless – Salva Mea

Faithless are unequivocally 90s, no doubt about that. This tune is an absolute banger in parts… I do feel the runtime is unnecessary though, there’s an awful lot of faffing around to get to the meat of the product. Enjoyable, but just a little bit too long.
Ha ha, and back down to earth :p

Like you say, very 90s. It was between this and another for Kol's late 90s dance so I've had this on a lot recently. I love this song, think it's Faithless' best by a mile. The run time was always a gamble but the shorter single edit is nowhere near as good, it deserves the full ten minutes for me, I love the slow build and the ebbs and flows :)
