Navy pilots describe encounters with UFOs - 60 minutes

Thought this was an excellent segment released last week - no speculation or conspiracies just the facts from high up Government officials and experienced pilots. The man and lady pilot towards the end describe the most bizarre encounter where one of the objects formed a shape in the sea and it was detected 60 miles away seconds later after speeding off.

Assuming these things do exist I'd speculate they're man made, some new technology coming out of China / Russia but who knows? Perhaps the US have developed such technology which is highly classified.

This has been released by official US government sources and they consider it a flying object of unknown origin, so that's as far and as much as we know. That much isn't a conspiracy.

Yes, because the video contains flying objects of unknown origin. The video was captured along a regular flight route from Asia/Hawaii to Los Angeles. Because the video was taken with an out of focus triangular iris, the identity of those planes cannot be determined and they are therefore classified as unidentified flying objects.

It is neither fascinating nor interesting.

He's hardly running to conspiracy, or at least not to the usual mad degree of those into that sorta thing.

Jumping from blurry triangles to "some new technology coming out of China / Russia" when easier explanations are available is, by definition, a conspiracy.
However other encounters are not so easily explained which is why there's a bit of a flap on at the moment. Where something is seen by radar of different types and frequencies, FLIR and the Mark 1 Human Eyeball, in some cases multiple times over periods of time and said something is behaving unusually and not like a normal aircraft. Something like a radar glitch or artefact is not going to be visible to the human eye, or give off a heat signature. Weather balloons don't fly into a 100 knot headwind and then take off at crazy speeds in another direction.

Not so easily explained, but explanations have been given that don't require conspiracies.

Actually he posted a video about US Navy pilots describing encounters and went from that. You were the one who brought up "blurry triangles", not him.

Do tell. And not the blurry triangles example.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

What is the "they" he is referring to?

Sure, pick one out and provide a source to the original video rather than the montage so I can see it in full.

What explanations have been given to shed light on these objects that have been picked up by several instruments, on aircraft or other, as well as the different human accounts? If it was just the human accounts, I'd be sceptical and thinking this lot are just looking for a pay out but the footage from the aircraft has been declassified along with the onboard voice recordings. Two separate pilots in separate planes witnessed this object, along with their instruments picking it up. I'm not saying it's out of this world but it's a flying object that's a lot faster than anything we know.

    Not your pyramid one anyway...

The clips I'm referring to were released by the pentagon about a year or so ago, along with the classified reports and statements from the pilots.

    https://youtu.be/auITEKd4sjA

This is a released video from the pentagon and they have commented on them, as well as others who worked there at the time. It's to be spoken about in the senate soon, this is current affairs whether you like it or not.

    Edit: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/apr/16/pentagon-ufos-leaked-photos-uap

Article that gives some background and there's plenty out there. I don't have an explanation for them anyway and the US government doesn't either but they're often secretive, sure they kept the stealth bomber a secret for a while, had locals freaked at the sightings of it.

Absolutely fascinating. Once you conclude these objects are definitely craft of some sort and not any known or unknown natural phenomenon there are only two possibilities

    1. Humanity has developed far more advanced technology than thought which has been kept secret due to a vast conspiracy.

    2. We are not alone in the universe and these things come from another planet or parallel dimension or the past or the future.

Either way what we thought was sci fi is real and if this technology is revealed or these visitors reveal themselves it will change the world.

No problem, here is a good summary.

    https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=20018535

The Pentagon has gotten into the habit of declassifying any footage in which pilots could not identify the potential flying objects at the time. It does not mean that such sightings are in any way significant or cannot be explained easily later using common sense.

Unfortunately that hasn't happened. When that happens, it will be breaking news across every news channel in the world.

You've just linked to a back and forth in another forum, do you have any news sources that explain what these are?

    Obama only recently
"What is true, and I'm actually being serious here, is that there are, there's footage and records of objects in the skies, that we don't know exactly what they are. We can't explain how they moved, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. And so, you know, I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is."

Other high ranking officials within the military have also said that they move in a way that is beyond their technology. Nobody has explanations, but you keep mentioning them without actually explaining anything?

No, news sources want clicks. People on a discussion forum who are capable of critical thinking do not.

You are completely welcome to explain why the common sense explanations made by people in my link cannot be correct.

    I linked to many explanations.

So, you're trying to tell me that the US military or experienced pilots onboard those planes wouldn't know a bird when they see one. Or that after flight analysis that would have been carried out by god knows how many specialists wouldn't have concluded that this was the result of another jet's exhaust?

I should take the word of a few people on a 'Hacker News' forum instead of the officials coming out and saying they cannot explain what they are?

You came into this thread to shut it down as conspiracy but I think we can both agree that it is current affairs and that the OP has a right to post it here. Our opinions on the matter itself obviously differ but surely we can agree on that much.

Yes, that is what I am saying. And the majority of pilots, military specialists and the world also believes this, which is why it is not breaking news across every news channel.

No, you should not take the word of anyone, but you are. There are links (Parabunk) to explanations by someone who is experienced in the area who uses common sense to explain what the unidentified objects are. Read them and then reply by explaining why his analysis is wrong.

If you do anything other than that in your next reply then you are demonstrating confirmation bias rather than critical thinking and are only interested in believing what you want to believe because it's more interesting rather than more logical.

What are these things? They are solid they move like no other aircraft they are no birds or balloons or tricks of the light or the mind. They were picked up on radar and video and perplexed high trained military aviators and top military officials.
They are definitely craft of some kind so if they are man made and controlled mankind has made technological leaps that were kept secret.
If they are not of this world then beings from a technologically advanced past or future are travelling through time or from another dimension or from another planet.

My apologies for removing you from fantasy land using common sense. You can find plenty of similar threads in the conspiracy theories forum if you like.

I have provided links to many common sense explanations and no one has tried to debunk said explanations. Who is really being the obtuse one?

In fairness technology is moving very fast, if we can now power helicopters on Mars, it's not far fetched to think craft such as the ones on the video are using advanced techniques to stay airborne.
It will be great to find out, there is supposed to be some report on this in July?

I remember watching that video before (Lemmino is a great!).

The pilots in the third video clearly showed that they do not understand even the basics of what parallax is. The pilots are also human - they make mistakes and they were not impartial, sceptical observers. They sought out patterns that might not have been there.

UFOs exist. Anytime a plane unintentionally enters the airspace of a country they weren't supposed to, it is a UFO.

I do not believe the a couple of blurry videos that have common sense explanations are anything but the common sense explanations. If they are, aliens seem to have mastered the technique that ghosts use of only appearing in very blurry, subjective conditions, the crafty buggers.

Forward looking infrared not picking up a heat source when the unknown flying across the sky. The POD would also provide a reasonable outline of the shape in the sky.

The pilot pod locked onto an object that is moving across the sky. Where the heat source here? what powering it?

Here is a fighter jet obviously closer but you see the obvious signs it's a man made jet fighter.

    553760.png

The UFO or UAP is a different shape entirely and was flying very high in the sky and locked into by the POD. Was not stationary or moving up or down. It
object was moving across the screen, heading a direction.

    553761.png

There only two options here based on POD footage, its an unknown advanced capable of flight technology build by someone on earth and there managing to keep it secret or its advanced non human equipment coming from somewhere else.
