Looks like day for the breakaway, gentle enough climbs so shouldn't see any GC action. The odds for the stage seem to reflect that:

    Bettiol 10/1
    Guirrero 10/1
    Matej Mohoric 12/1
    Felix Grossschartner 14/1
    Diego Ulissi 14/1
    Thomas de Gendt 14/1

EDIT: Appears to be a wind warning in place for Foggia, they will be riding into cross-headwinds, possible echelons?

For someone who has a GT podium to his name, he was far down the GC list when I looked earlier (156th). Definitely planning something

Had a laugh at that. Bernal accidentally getting in the break to the disgust of everyone else :) Forgot his fake moustache and wig obviously.

Not even 10km in and it's split. Kelly is loving this I'd say.

Did Benal accidentally get in the break of was it just some ****housery?

Jesus. The peloton is strung out in one single line

Accident. He was just near the front of the peleton as it chased the break and it split behind just before they caught them and suddenly they were all technically in the breakaway. Pro Cycling Stats says Bernal attacked but seriously how anyone could think he attacked with 160k to go is beyond me.

This must be an absolute nightmare for anyone who woke up feeling not great this morning

Gentleman’s agreement for everyone to calm the **** down 😂

Edit - seems like no teams are willing to let a break go easily. Unless someone can force it over one of the climbs

Talk of a crash in the tunnel.

A few sprinters were always going to abandon in the next few days as is tradition.

A tunnel is exactly where I would plan my abandoning

Final Climb is quite easy, hard to see any splits happening.

Dan up to 8th, seems one of the top 10 got caught up in the crash and lost a few seconds. Louis Vervaeke from Alpecin Fenix.

A big win for Cofidis... it's been long overdue.

Pretty cool that they've kept the same sponsor and colours for so long

he as always going to abandon - it was only a matter of when. he is aiming for a stage win in the three GTs this year.
