The video has been doing the rounds for a month now without faces blurred out. Glad to see they arrested 3 suspects today.

Are the home owners/parents responsible and going to be held to account?

Gardai seized: clothes, mobile phones & bicycles.

I assume the items were seized as evidence in the course of identifying the participants in the attack, rather than as the proceeds of crime. So I’m not sure why who paid for them would be an issue.

Unless you’re just taking about the general question of parents being responsible for their children’s behaviour, which is a different matter to the items being seized.

Those things were taken as evidence presumably. That’s how I read it. What do you mean?

The 3 arrested will get a slap on the wrist, not physically because that would be cruel, and nothing will happen to the parents.

This is the reason why they do what they did. There are no consequences for teenagers in this country

My sarcasm meter gave a false positive here.

Time to fine parents and enforce the fines vigorously.

3 strike rule would be good too. 3 times in front of juvenile court or equivalent and that 3rd time you’re treated as an adult, with no means to take probation act or other easy-out options for the judge.

the concept that they felt it was okay to spit on young women,apart from the physical threat they represented...i think a few months of isolation with no female contact might soften them up.

You must be joking, apparently it's in society's best interest for these young scrote bags and their parents to be systemically shielded from being financially accountable for their actions thus placing the costs of repairing the damage done on the law abiding citizens whose property was destroyed without any chance whatsoever of those people or organisations being able to recoup those costs from the scrote bags or their parents via the civil courts.

This apparently is "justice" in Ireland in 2021 and to add insult to injury the scrote bags will likely be admitted to the "Youth Diversion" programme which in fine oxymoronic fashion is deemed to be a restorative justice type programme despite the fact the scrote bags won't be required to restore the damage they did.

That kind of thing has been going on for years.

When my youngest was 15 she and a few of he friends has an incident with a few girls.

Those lads saw 3 confident pretty girs who would never have anything to do with them and very quickly turned on them.

There is often a class element in those sorts of attracts but it never talked about.
