Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hi probably a silly question but How can I find the original price of a car?

    You mean what the car cost when it first came out?

    That's usually available if you google the brand and year. It will be on some page.

    You can use waybackmachibe to find old versions of the manufacturers website.

    VRT calculator is saying £11,718 as an OMSP, so the RRP was probably £13000 or so.

    Thats 19,471.81 euro for a Rover 214i ??

    Easiest way is to buy off the original OCD owner. My yoke had the original order docket with all the options listed in an envelope in the glove box!

    Yes. I was on it. It was actually there from the early 90’s. defiantly there for the English match. They removed it late 2001. Something to do with the euro.

    the OP was looking for the original price - you are the only one bringing inflation in to it ...... the original price has nothing to do with the current price and it wasn't requested

    The old squared off bigger model finished in 1995 I think.

    Becareful there, that's a lot on factual information for boards.ie.

    Isn't it amazing that a 1999 Rover 214i cost 19.5k euro allowing for inflation in todays money.


    Was the Rover 214i considered a good car in 1996/1999?
