Wire for loom... by the metre?

Are there any suppliers in this country of wire by the metre so I can make a new loom? I'm looking for the usual solid colours and dual colours, plus a couple of more unusual ones like beige-white. It's for a 6V system and I don't know whether modern thinwall wire is compatible with some of the original stuff I will be connecting to, or if that makes any difference.

Thanks for that, and I was there on Tuesday. Extremely helpful guys, by the way, and I got the connector blocks I need there. But they sell wire by the 100-metre reel and I just need about 30-35m in total across 14 different colours. The chap I was speaking with said that they sometimes have offcuts but not very often.

Hello... I know you asked for Irish supplier and I'm sure someone will recommend a good one shortly.
But, if you're really stuck I've ordered from this place in England numerous times and found the quality of the stuff very good:

Hi, I just have experience in the electronics sector rather than automotive.

An option may be to get multicore cable and open it up to get the individual colours, not sure what luck you will have with getting the correct colours, but these suppliers will have extensive data sheets for you. So, you may have to buy 50 or 100m, but just one or 2 rolls.

Got sorted from these guys, thanks. Quick service and not-too-extortionate delivery charge. They still don't have the beige/white I needed but I've ordered a different colour instead.

When I said that I needed 30-35m across 14 different colours, I meant in total, ie., 2m blue, 3.5m red, etc.
