Folks i've been trying to update some threads and one of them is the RFD thread. Some shops are closed, some contact info is out of date and some new shops have opened. Can everyone have a read down through the thread and if you know of any corrections needed or shops that are now open/closed please contact me so i can…

Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Folks i've been trying to update some threads and one of them is the RFD thread.

Some shops are closed, some contact info is out of date and some new shops have opened.

Can everyone have a read down through the thread and if you know of any corrections needed or shops that are now open/closed please contact me so i can change.

Jim Fagan of Gunshop.ie operates out of Harbour House in Athy each Saturday and has a great website also.

I suppose you could add the Decathlon store in Ballymun to the Dublin list? Also their website www.decathlon.ie has great hunting and fishing gear. Search for the word "solognac" which is their hunting brand and you will see over 700 items listed. Delivery used to be free if you ordered over €50 bot there is now a fixed charge of €5. No VAT or customs to worry about as everything is within the EU

Just a thing to remember guys...why not try to support your local RFD if you can, these are the lads we will miss if they close up like so many other retailers in the current climate.
When your stuck for a box of ammo late some Saturday evening before the Sunday morning shoot, or ammo for the range or need help getting those bits and pieces that the big guys are not interested in helping us with, it's the local RFD's ( no matter what your county)is that we go to for help.
I cant see Brownells or Decathlon putting up a prize for the local gun club shoot...so think about keeping your money local and supporting local.

Was really sorry to hear that Duffy's in Galway was closed. Just reading this month's NRA magazine, American Rifleman, and Duffy's gets a shout out in the readers letter's section as a place to visit if you want info the the Creedmoor matches

Was in Decathlon today and the fishing section has been moved to the top left corner and the stock is piss poor now, There are no beachcaster rods or reels on display, just a load of "beginner" rods and reels and the usual telescopic starter kits. Very dissapointed.
