    This absolutely outstanding imo doc is on bbc iplayer now cannot recommend it highly enough.
    It really demonstrates the amazing work and public service a free press can provide.

    In 2015, a fire at a nightclub in Bucharest, Romania, leaves 27 dead and 180 injured. Soon afterwards, the burn victims recovering in hospital, from seemingly non-life-threatening injuries - begin dying too. A doctor at the heart of the story acts as whistleblower to a brave team of journalists, who in turn uncover outrageous corruption in the country's hospitals that goes all the way to the top. One revelation leads to another as the journalists begin to find fraud on a vast scale

    Looks like you can rent/buy from usual platforms too.
    Google play, apple etc.

    Cannot recommend it highly enough.

    It was honestly more gripping then any thriller that I have seen in a long time.
    Just astonishing.
    it was a stroke of genius having the new health minister being filmed, you could tell he was doing his best, but it all seemed so futile

    Definitely worth watching. Starts out as one scandal aaannndd snowballs from there. It does an amazing thing of making you kinda glad of the Irish health service.

    The level of corruption exposed was staggering.
    Doctors in hospitals bribed the managers to get allocated to the operating theatres because the bribes the patients paid there were higher than in the general wards. Meaning that if you were a patient who needed an operation, you had to pay the doctor in cash to have your procedure!
    Hospital managers were cronies who had fake 'qualifications' they obtained by mail order. They presented the clerical staff with fake invoices (for goods and services which were never delivered) from their cronies and insisted that they be paid immediately. Aside from those low grade clerks, everyone was on the make, draining cash from the system.
