Windows 8 Laptop , gets stuck on Restart, any ideas?

    Hi there,

    Just looking for some ideas with this issue.

    A dell laptop with windows 8. The restart function has never worked , it always just gets stuck on the restarting screen with the circular graphic and has to be turned off and back on with the power button.

    Hasn't really been a problem until now as I need to do a system restore but part of the restore involves a restart and seeing that the Laptop gets stuck on the restart it cannot complete the system restore.

    Your thoughts are appreciated.
