Can't see Castleknock & Ongar going much lower.
Both have hovered around the same numbers for last 3 weeks.

Given the national incidence rate seems to be 240.4 cases per 100k in the same two week period as the last set of figures, that puts Castleknock ~10% above the average (not too bad for my money, some have to be higher and some lower for there to be an average, after all), and Ongar at ~50% higher (poor enough, IMO). Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart is 120% higher than the national average (or a total of 220% of same), in contrast.

Its no worse or better than any other urban LEA within the big cities or surrounding counties.

Ah, it's pretty bad in fairness. Whatever is happening in Blanch/Mulhuddart, it's consistently one of the worst areas in the country.

Apartment blocks, communal living and the demographics of the people inhabiting the area in question. Think large families\social groupings unable to self isolate even if they wanted to.

It has been closed 18th and 19th already as part of same.
Could possibly be Teachers involved as not enough teachers for school to be kept open.

Focused on specific high transmission areas.

I've seen it reported there (Twitter) and on RTE that it's Mr Price car park but The Journal are reporting it's in the Aquatic Centre. One to double check before you turn up for a test!

Originally planned for Mr. Price but changed to the NAC. Strange move anyway, Mr. Price is alot closer to way more people than the NAC.

They might be hoping to have the 5km radius take in a wider cachement of Finglas too. Or maybe they just dont want anyone rocking up for a test to take in a bit of shopping while there!

Anyhow its a good initiative, hopefully it will help tackle spread, particularly as there's no fee and you don't need a GP. Might just help catch some additional cases.

5km is completely irrelevant to this. That's solely for exercise and widely misunderstood. I'd imagine mixing testing with the shopping centre was the greater concern.
