The only thing I gamble on is a 2.50 ticket twice a week on the Euro millions which I play:) online.
How frustrating it is because the Lottery.ie website is down.

I wonder can I sue if my numbers win and I have been unable to play.

The website is posting a message that the site is down.
"Due to a technical issue to main National Lottery website is temporarily unavailable".
How is it be working for you?

It's all down online, only working in the shops.
    Great timing.
While our retail partners are operating as normal, unfortunately we are experiencing some technical difficulties with our App and our website.
I wonder can I sue if my numbers win and I have been unable to play

Looking forward to seeing how you would get on with this case

If this is not a case for the sacking of the IT company that runs it - then nothing is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 786 ✭✭✭phater phagan

Is the British company still running it?

The CBM64 must have buckled under the pressure of the €130M draw.

I've always wanted to know, what percentage of people play online? Do they ever reveal those figures? This is a bad time for it to go down.

It wouldn't surprise me if the geeks in the civil service are using it.
They probably paid 200 million consultation fees for it.

Sure you need milk too, don't you?

The app is working now...for how long though?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,382 ✭✭✭1874

The app stopped working for me before xmas, tried to update it and it was having none of it, would not work, deleted it and even logging in through the website would not work, eventually logging in via a browser started working, think its being going to pot for a while

I tried logging on in the early hours of this morning and it wouldn't let me, similar response to what's happening this evening. Then when I got on around 7am, it asked me to agree to updated terms and conditions, new as of 4th February, stuff like credit cards no longer being valid. I hadn't logged on before that for over a week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,348 ✭✭✭basill

App still down. If it was up then it was only a matter of minutes. Still has the "oops" splash screen.

The Lottery website is a pile of ****e at the best of times.

Never works correctly,I don't think I've ever not gotten an error when I've logged on.

You can't play between 10pm and 7am, just in case you are too tired to know what you are doing!

I know that. I hadn't logged in in over a week, I wanted check my tickets(didn't win anything, as per usual). You can't play, but you can login. Maybe they were doing maintenance and trying to keep the issue this evening under control.

There's a shock, no winner of the jackpot.
Highest amount any Irish player won was €876 for Match 4 plus 2 stars.

For Match 4, you win €39 .
No wonder the bookies are cleaning up doing bets on the Euro Millions.
If you had matched 4 with a bookie, the odds were 33,000/1.
Not an exact comparison as you have other returns for lower number matched on the Euro millions and multiple bets in the bookies but massive difference all the same.
There are loads of people who do their own numbers ever week online and have the same bet in the bookies.
