What car would you like to see re-introduced to the market?

Hi all,

Apologies if this is a re-hash of an old topic but, having looked at KGF Cars and the collection of near mint retro - nearly new cars they have in stock I couldn't help but wonder what model cars the good people of Motors would like re-introduced to the market?

We got a taste of it when Seat reintroduced the B7 Audi A4 by way of the Seat Exeo but what would you like ?

Me - I had a 2003 Passat B5 Sport like this one below - they had that fantastic 'thunk' where your ears would pop when closing the doors. I'd be quite happy to buy a brand new one if VW brought back that type of build quality again.

Or maybe the 6th gen Honda Accord -

Just add in multi link rear suspension and some more modern toys of course. :pac:

I'll also make a special mention for the MK4, 5, 6 or 7 Golf - the MK8 Golf's interior just doesn't do anything for me as I'd like buttons and dials as opposed to using a screen when the car is moving.

Actually, I loved the 2.0 GXL in yellow with the black vinyl roof and chrome trim, couldn't afford one though.

Absolutely crackers car. In the unlikely event you ever get the chance to pedal one, take it with both hands, but have funeral expenses on your insurance first if it's a damp day and you've a heavy right foot.

But yeah the R5 had fantastic packaging design right out of the box.

I sold mine for 400 pounds, same as I paid for it, back in the 70’s.

I'd love to see the return of the BMW E39 5 series and E38 7 series. They were fabulous cars back in the day and they had things modern BMWs don't have, like hydraulic power steering for superior feedback, six engines as a bare minimum (naturally aspirated of course for a much nicer exhaust note in the case of the petrol varieties) and were unashamedly rear wheel drive with classic 50:50 weight distribution, not front wheel drive or all wheel drive like so many modern BMWs.

They still look classy and sporty today - back in the good old days BMW understood the concept of style. The only thing they need is 21st century infotainment, safety and technology features. A plug in version would be nice to ensure they're some way emissions relevant to the 21st century, too.
