Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Come on - chill. Grealish is quality. But wouldnt we all love for him to take penos? He has done well but I think he has potential to do much better if he starts taking penos and free kicks.

    56(-4) and looking like a surprising but minimalist green arrow up to ~390K.

    The hit (Zaha & Adams out for Jota & Vardy) paid off I guess but not as much as I hoped.

    52 all out after the 4 points total from Martinez, Targett, Coufal and Watkins. At least Watkins making it an easy decision to ship him out. Should have shipped him out for Wilson as planned last week but gone from my team now anyway and will consider a hit to upgrade a defender for next week as well.

    Very frustrating gameweek from start to end.
    • Guaita lost CS and 3 BPS in 88th min (-8)
    • Salah has a goal VAR'd (-5)
    • Robbo has an asist VAR'd loses a CS to a dodgy penalty in injury time, combination of which lost the 3 BPS too (-10)
    • Cancelo benched for a certain CS, replaced by Konsa (-5)
    • Watkins misses penalty, goal VAR'd, probably would have been 3 BPS (-13)

    Still in the millionars club, can't seem to catch a break this year, need one of those weeks where these breaks go my way and get one of the big scores to catapult me up the rankings.

    Alan Curbishley making the point that the Watkins disallowed goal should have been given as a penalty.

    Hard to argue against it.

    Some clown of an ex referee ( Chris Foy) on tv now making a mess of trying to explain it. He says it’s not a penalty.

    I think var is great. It’s very obvious now that the rules, and their interpretation, are the problem.

    The technology is fine. The humans, as ever, are stupid.

    Then Heskey asks - ‘is it a penalty if the player goes down ?’ The ex referee - ‘yes, probably’.

    It’s all a big mess really.

    He put one a plate for Trez who made a balls of it, missed a peno which is an issue as he'll probably be off them then had a stupid VAR ruling out of a goal.


    Should and would have had a huge score on another night

    Regarding the penalties - Grealish has missed a penalty before last season, so it's hard to know if he would be back on them just cause Watkins hit the bar tonight. They could just as easily go to another player.
