I’ve signed up two people on my recruiter sims and those people and me did not receive the recruiter credit. I’ve setup 7 friends prior to this and always we both got €8. Anyone have this issue?

They changed the scheme last Monday, now it's either credit or a voucher. Check your email to see if they sent a voucher instead.

I suspect I've had the same problem. Is there any way to confirm which recruitees have signed up?

You're meant to be able to see it now when you log in to my48 and go to the recruit section but I know for a fact it's not at all accurate. It's missing people from mine and the ones it shows are pending, yet I have definitely received the credit for them. Bar the person who uses your link telling you there is now way of knowing for sure which is a pain.

Just did a speedtest at 18:40
    Got a
    ping of 44 ms
    download 0.19 mbps
    upload 0.68 mbps

    Mine atm.

    Ping 27 ms
    download 5.77 mbps
    upload 1.73mbps

My house only has 3g signal though, I live the wrong side of a steep hill! Speeds are generally much quicker elsewhere.

    4G signal here

    1.33 down
    4mb upload

    Brutal for a 4G signal

    18.1 down
    1.6 up

Same as what I was getting with three. I'm in a city.

If I drive out 8km to my home place outside the city I get 38 down and 11 up.

Hmm Vodafone may have a better network in terms of it's build infrastructure and population reach.

Vodafone knows how to charge a lot more but can be quite mean by charging you more for less benefits.

As for "U pay for what U get" rule of thumb, this is not necessarily true. I recall Vodafone being a right pain when I had raised several issues - their Customer Support was definitely not an improvement and I've used Vodafone, THREE, O2, Meteor, eir, Lycamobile at different stages over the years and all were of similar customer service quality - hit and miss! Of course some of these firms have since been bought or acquired by a rival over the years. If I'm paying more to be a Vodafone customer, I should expect to receive much better customer support if I have reason to contact them over an issue but not my experience over last 12 months. I'll take a risk with 48.ie as I've been with THREE Ireland up to last December.

Don't just take my word as Vodafone (along with eir) have clearly failed to resolve many Customer Service issues which has resulted in the Tánaiste and Minister having to meet both firms separately over it's handling of ongoing customer complaints in their respective organisations.

If you get into live chat they’ll give you names of all your recruitees. I seen someone reply to say it’s in the recruit section of their app but for me I only have a few in there. I dint have them all. My issue is now with their second level support and they can take 3-5 days apparently.

Switched to this deal from VF X recently and got a call today from VF with an offer of €20 and they give back €10 as credit each month. That's tempting as I rent a fair amount of movies on Google Movies and buy apps/books on the Playstore. Can use VF credits to pay for that.

The 48 deal is great but I generally find the VF network to be better. Can't make calls if I'm in my kitchen using 48 as there's no signal.

I think any customer who is unable to gain access to a network has to make the most appropriate choice as I suspect few customers would be ok about not having a reliable reception signal in their kitchen at home. Sounds like Vodafone (or perhaps "An Post Mobile" which also uses the VF network) is better for your requirements although; "An Post Mobile" currently offers max of 4G coverage.

All that said, I wonder if 48.ie was not offering such attractive value I would doubt Vodafone would have felt the need to offer such a deal.
More competitive offerings from 48.ie and GoMo and perhaps negative press of late over their awful customer service may be hurting their profit margins. Those customers who are fortunate enough to experience satisfactory reception would be mad to ignore better packages elsewhere.

At the end of the day, competition and more choice is a win, win for the Irish consumers in terms of more investment in network infrastructure and the latest useful innovations along with more competitive pricing.

Yep, I regularly use Three & Vodafone credit to rent movies on Google Play.

Make sure the €10 they give back is 'proper' credit though as promotional credit I received from Vodafone in the past couldn't be used for carrier billing.

    No

My data isn't gone but it might as well be! Over the last 3 weeks it's got steadily slower, from an average of about 5-6 then then to less than 1 now. Not great, so I'm reviewing whether to continue with 48 now.

Not out and about much in lockdown, so don't know what it's like elsewhere. I'm glad I have decent broadband/wifi at home anyway.

I suppose it's possible, though this has been going on for 3 weeks now, so not quite sure it would take that long? Either that, or my neighbours are all on 48 or 3.

Has anyone had problems getting a SIM delivered? I've ordered multiple in the last 3 months and none have arrived. When I contact their bots/support it generally goes like this:

me: where is my SIM -> 48: can you re-order SIM
me: I have, 5 times -> 48: can you send to another address
    me: I don't own another house -> 48: silence
me: where is my SIM -> we will escalate this
me: where is my SIM -> 48: can you re-order SIM
    repeat the above X 10

I'm giving up anyway, but just to warn people that even EIR has better support. Doesn't bode well should you need support with them in the future.

I and a friend ordered a free 10gb sim earlier last week but none arrived. It said 2-3 days..

Can I ask what is a recruiter. Could I get a free credit for my friend?

I ordered 1 sim 2 weeks ago and it arrived in 3 days.
Recruited 2 more from that sim to same address when it arrived and no sign of the recruit sims.
