    Ireland:
15 Hugo Keenan, 14 Andrew Conway, 13 Chris Farrell, 12 Robbie Henshaw, 11 James Lowe, 10 Jonathan Sexton (c), 9 Jamison Gibson-Park, 8 Caelan Doris, 7 Josh van der Flier, 6 Peter O’Mahony, 5 James Ryan, 4 Quinn Roux, 3 Andrew Porter, 2 Ronan Kelleher, 1 Cian Healy
Replacements: 16 Dave Heffernan, 17 Ed Byrne, 18 Finlay Bealham, 19 Tadhg Beirne, 20 Will Connors, 21 Conor Murray, 22 Billy Burns, 23 Keith Earls

    Wales:
15 Leigh Halfpenny, 14 Liam Williams, 13 Jonathan Davies, 12 Owen Watkin, 11 Josh Adams, 10 Dan Biggar, 9 Gareth Davies, 8 Taulupe Faletau, 7 Justin Tipuric, 6 Shane Lewis-Hughes, 5 Alun Wyn Jones (c), 4 Will Rowlands, 3 Tomas Francis, 2 Ryan Elias, 1 Rhys Carre
Replacements: 16 Elliot Dee, 17 Wyn Jones, 18 Samson Lee, 19 Jake Ball, 20 Aaron Wainwright, 21 Lloyd Williams, 22 Callum Sheedy, 23 George North

This deserves its own thread surely? :)

I don't think the back three loses much with Conway in for Stockdale. Roux comes in for Henderson, this is a big opportunity for him as Ryan Baird is waiting in the wings to challenge for a spot in the 23.

I don't know if Ireland have fully recovered from their defeat against France in Paris in the 6N. Their competitive streak is under some trouble as they did not have a great finale to the 6N campaign this year. Wales are also suffering with their defeat against Scotland at Parc Y Scarlets. I'd say Ireland v Wales will be a tough match this evening because both teams are coming from a defeat from both of their recent fixtures. In both of their games they were struggling to get their heads together while their opposing teams were actually flying away like out of nothing to make big wins against them. But both teams will be looking to start off a clean slate when this fixture is the 1st match of the tournament. It will be anyone's game for the taking at the Aviva tonight.

If I were to call the result. It will probably be very tight. I'd say Ireland by 5.

I know Eddie is a small man.

But seeing him barely get his chin above the table while it comes up to Heaslip and Ferris's waist is absolutely hilarious

I like the look at the revised Irish team. Wanted to see Keenan at fullback and see Lowe strut his stuff

Unlucky for JGP there. Not sure about that call.

Don't understand that penalty. Wales 6 won the ball and then JPG tried to win it backs what was the offence?

So obvious. A few strange calls for both sides.

    Giving away the penalties already.

Absolute scumbag behaviour from Tipuric. Multiple shoulders into POMs back off the ball. Should be off for that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,615 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Liam Williams grabbed Lowe around the head there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,931 ✭✭✭randomname2005

    What is happening here?

Williams acting like a scumbag twice there.

    Cranky O'Mahony is best O'Mahony

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,615 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Not the best pass from Sexton. Still think Lowe could've done better to catch it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

3 players to choose and Sexton throws to none of them.....

wales are throwing tackles off the ball here. Ref should just be carding someone before there's an injury

Wales new gameplan seems to be act like tools instead of playing rugby.
