    Format

40 qualifying matches (2 from 6/7 songs in each match will go to R1) - You will be allowed to vote for 2 songs in each match. It will be first 2 songs to reach 5 votes or the highest 2 after 1 hour. I will vote in a tie break.
Round 1 will start with 128 songs, and straight knockout from there.

    Hope this suits everyone

oh, starting with a tough draw from the get go.

I will skip the James Bond Theme, as it isn't a song-song

    So my votes will be:
Lisa Loeb - Stay (I Missed You) and
    Berlin-Take My Breath Away

It's an iconic THEME and instantly recognisable as being a film rather than a Top of the Pops show, so gets my vote

Bond theme for me, none of the others if you were listening in a dark room would instantly suggest a film

I guess I interpret the concept of "Greatest Song from the Movies" with the narrower definition of song.

And personally both Berlin and Lisa Loeb take me to the films they were written for.

Olivia Newton-John crashed into the back of my Dad's car, that I was driving, the day after I'd passed my test. So no - hold a grudge for long :D

Don't know if I'm too late but...

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John - You're the one That I Want (Grease)
I don't even really like it, but it's an iron clad, iconic classic

    Portishead - SOS (High Rise)
Just love it. Redefines the song.
