Ya , she couldn't answer it and kept saying see how you feel

That isnt clear nor proper guidance

I wonder is there any workplace relations advice ? I can't find anything

If I was on site which I normally am, if I had a flu or illness I'd be out sick but now that I can remote work I worry the expectation is I should be working from home for the full day if im not terribly Ill

It's a grey area is it without legal advice or is there proper guidance out there ?

I also wonder , if I am out sick then should it be the solid 14 days from being confirmed positive

    I'm so confused

I’d imagine that the common sense approach would be to work from home if you’re ok to do so and take off sick if you are too sick to work?

I found this and my interpretation is if I am confirmed positive and I do have symptoms which I do then I shouldn't be working and can apply for illness Benefit

Aware of that, but for some reason, the public post that explained why 30 teachers had been incorrectly deemed close contacts stated that there had been some sort of confusion as a result of them all being on the same IP address, which seemed strange at the time, but it wasn't queried at the time.

Teachers seem to be treated as if they’re expendable in all of this.

Nothing's changed, Wally. You're just as entitled to sick leave as you were before.

Don't work if you're feeling sick. Get plenty of rest. Hope you're well again soon

Oh yes? After being on the piss the night before crowding with others at the bar knocking back pints with zero social distancing and no mask wearing? Let`t hope you didn`t bring anything worse than a sore head with you to your workplace.

What about the 6 denotified yesterday?

They should appear (or not appear) in the Epidemiology report on Monday. Should be able to see if they were denotifed from September or later.

I heard about someone who died from Covid. Therefore Covid is fatal most of the time.

We can all play that game. The only truth is in the Covid statistics. The mortality rate in people under 45 is very low.

Aye, but which statistics do we believe?

the 300 plus deaths reported by HSE for March?

    or

CSO figure of zero covid-19 deaths for the first quarter.

A third Republican Senator has now tested positive. Quite extraordinary what is happening in the US.

Hang on, were you there. Sure how can you drink pints with a mask, it was our first county final in 27 years, I think that was slightly more important than some virus don't you think.

726 cases in Northern Ireland. So yesterday seems to have been representative of reality.

Nope but then I don`t have my head stuck in the sand or in a pint glass 24/7. Speaks volumes of you that you do think so though. Is it any wonder with ****e attitudes like this that positive cases are rising? You really do need to look up the definition of personal responsibility pronto.

Very good. A few of these contraptions should be sent on to niallo27 and his drinking buddies. They will deeply appreciate it.

Young people don't need to be encouraged to mix, it's natural behaviour.

This is the new normal and behaviours even natural behaviours will have to change to fall into line with with our experts guidelines . You have nothing to fear if you just follow the rules and hold firm with the rest of us who in it together to stay safe.

    775 new cases, 4 deaths

    324 in Glasgow and Clyde

    764 new cases, 4 deaths.
    299 in Glasgow.

Their positive rate is now over 12%

In fairness to them all still powering on and going to work facing this head on every day

And only 64 (21%) acquired it through work, that % was well over 66% months ago, so obviously the protections taken in hospitals is helping.

Chap goes for a few pints but that's having his head in a pint glass 24/7 ??

Every single post with you is either your telling people that their head is in the sand or their an alcoholic. Absolutely no middle ground at all.

God forbid someone has a few pints

This isn't a climate change thread mate.
There's a supervolcano thread somewhere else as well if you're interested in the end of the world.

This poster stated that drink was being served and people knocking back pints in the pub until 7am the morning after his local club team won their county final. Now assuming he is not trolling do you consider that responsible behaviour in the current circumstances?

Yes, quite sure there is a meteor impact thread as well, the more misery the better.

Did I say it was responsible behaviour that people were there till 7am ? Clearly a lack of cop on for anyone who was there till 7am.

Poster clearly stated he wasn't there till 7am and was in work at 7am yet you said he had his head in a pint glass 24/7 so you went off making assumptions about him despite you being told he wasn't there.

Would you say its accurate then to describe the poster as having his head in a pint glass 24/7, thats what my post addresses.

As I said there's absolutely no middle ground with you, if someone doesn't agree then they get told they've their head in the sand and are cast off into a "brigade". Glad I'm not the only one that sees it, more than willing to engage in reasonable debate and conversation without the pontification

I’ve acted responsibly all throughout this pandemic and so has everyone I know.
Haven’t said either that Covid isn’t a serious Illness.
I’ve gone to the pub to watch the football a few times since they reopened and it was f**king brilliant to have a cold pint, peanuts and watch the game.
    That’s normal.
What’s not normal is people trolling the internet to constantly post negative articles and graphs! But then go on to dismiss any positives.

    Yeah pint and peanuts good.
    Articles and graphs bad.

I mean who doesn't like a good bag of salty peanuts and a pint.
People who like graphs and articles are not normal.
Glad I'm not in secondary school anymore seem to remember similar arguments
    coming from high achievers.

Glad you are not letting the science get in the way. Pubs are ope everywhere apart from Dublin. Why are people on here moaning about getting back to normal while simultaneously recalling stories of "loads of pints down the pub". Should you not be savouring the lovely vintners atmosphere while drinking massively overpriced beer.

No-one gives a ****. Do it, don't do it. Won't change things one iota for the public health measures.

Here's a chart about peanuts. You might like it if you try? Broaden your horizons. Never too late.
