An estimated 750 million, or 10 per cent of the world’s population, have been infected by Covid-19, World Health Organisation (WHO) official Dr Mike Ryan has said.

That is very scary. 10% seems alot and still no vaccine.

I think we need to pause comments on this until we have more solid info.
It's not as if the numbers are abnormal. There's 200 cases in UofSheffield, 177 in Liverpool.
I highly doubt the university would announce wrong numbers

Should be less scary than before as this means the IFR is 0.13%

If 10% of the world have already been infected then it's not very scary at all

So what happens in this case?
Liverpool (or at least any of the players he’s been training with)can’t play for 14 days??

eh no, it's your claim it's up to you to explain why it's not nonsense.
80% of infections are mild for example, but that means not requiring hospitalisation.
That's a far cry from perfect health.

If 700 people in this uni have Covid and 600 odd are perfectly fine, then the most common symptom is being perfectly fine.

Then why is a public health source casting doubts on the numbers given that they've reported more positive cases than their entire area (Newcastle).
    How is that possible?
I think there's enough uncertainty here to throw a warning flag on this report for the moment.

Of this virus? From a single reported unconfirmed by local health authorities.
You'll have to do better than that.
Your claim that the most common symptom is perfect health is nonsense.

You’re probably right but I’m estimating about 16,000 pages combining all parts of this thread so cannot help wondering how many pages would be in this thread if comments were paused until we have more solid info.

Newcastle's current infection rate is 250 cases per 100,000 this week.
Newcastle had 864 cases in the last week.
770 is less than 864, no? And that's assuming all 770 are from this week alone.

Liverpool won't be worried- he'll only be out for 1 game as opposed to 2 or 3 if he had a calf injury.

2 West ham players and their manager were tested positive last midweek and are all back for tomorrow.

At this stage every professional football team has had various player out 'with covid who've gone straight back in scoring goals a week later.
Here's Mahrez who tested positive on 9th September then scored this worldie less than 2 weeks later:

Except a IFR of 0.13% is 6370 deaths in Ireland if whole population is infected.

A lot less than the 100,000+ deaths that were projected

Trump is being treated with the highest dose of Regenerons antibody cocktail according to his physician.
    That was quick.

    And Chlorox.

He could have been given plenty of medical care in the White House including oxygen etc. and had announced about convalescing at home so he must be more symptomatic than earlier.

Yeah BBC pointing that out. White House has a full medical centre and all the doctors he could need, they wouldn't be moving him for the sake of it.

Boris Johnson went to hospital as a precaution too. Not a good sign for Donald.

Yep, I'd worry for Trump. At his age and weight he is not in a position to get an easy run of it.
Berlusconi, at 83, albeit a lot healthier looking than trump (even though a lot of that is down to plastic surgery) managed to get over it after a 10 day spell in hospital, but according to himself it was a very difficult few weeks.
