Unfortunately for us down in Cork it’s looking like level 3 tomorrow, cases simply haven’t reduced enough.

Bye bye any chance of Dublin coming out of stage 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,363 ✭✭✭prunudo

So how does that 429 leave us with actual case vs numbers of swabs taken, backlog cleared or more to come?

15 more in Wicklow continues to be a worry, albeit I believe the majority of cases lately have been around the Bray LEA's

Will it be the whole county?

You told me a few days ago there was no chance of Cork going to level 3

Hopefully the posters who have been practically wishing aren’t too happy.

You’ve been frothing at the thought of Cork going to level 3, calm yourself.

442 positive swabs in the last 24 hours. Hard to know on the backlog as it seems we had a load of re-tests in the last few weeks.

500 is the new 100. We need to set up the idiot police in Dublin .

    Who knows

With 60 cases, they'll lock the whole county down I would think.

You mean Cork going by a per capita basis.

Nolan is less optimistic today than he was.

Most children finish school at 17? So... are all the cases in the 15-24 group under 18 or could it be that 18-24 years olds are actually driving the spike?

Nolan just confirmed this... The sharp rise is in 19-24 year olds

The situation is slowly getting worse. There's no denying it, even if some will try.

Should they up the scare level and go live to an ICU ward each evening?

    Time to get serious

15 cases today in my own county Clare is of major concern. We had the same figure on Sunday last too.

Would not be surprised in the slightest if the Banner county entered level 3 restrictions this weekend or next.

National/Dublin/Non-Dublin numbers, percentages and rolling averages

Dublin new cases up averaging 19.30% in the past 7 days compared to 43.18% outside of Dublin so Level 3 is having a limited effect in the city compared to the rest of the country but it's doesn't look like it will slow down enough to prevent an extension

Pretty much, unless people cop on and stop catching/ transmitting the virus.

    It’s not rocket science.

    Yep.

No other choice till a vaccine comes along.

People are just not following the rules.
