Dr Feeney came across very well there. Whether you are with him or not the health service are the poorer without him.

McConkey is delusional if he thinks the virus can be eliminated without a vaccine.

We get the numbers down, open up local lockdowns guess what? The numbers start to rise again.
Rinse and repeat months maybe years of lockdowns with this strategy!

McConkey was left completely in his box with his jaw agape there. He was nearly apologising and accepting defeat at the end.

Once again, the obsession with categorising laid bare in the Covid debate. This reductionist view that you can only fall into one of two columns is unhelpful, anti-intellectual and will prevent us from finding balanced ways forward.

It’s a cancer in discourse on current affairs these days — if people disagree with you on a point then you simply content yourself by saying “oh well they’re obviously one of them lot in that other group and therefore must think the exact same way the rest of them do.”

    That chart isn’t clever — it’s poison.

I feel your anger. Unfortunately we are in the same place we were in Early March again. Doesn’t matter what column you are in or if you prefer a pick and mix approach or columns anger you.

It says a lot about Ireland that it’s taken until now for McConkey to be shut up. A complete and utter loon.

That was just so much fun to watch. Fair ****ing play to Dr Feeney.

It's a little worrying that the subsequent infections were mostly significant. Would like to know more of the patients' medical history.

The fact he mentions sparsely populated and countries that don’t have much inward travel anyway is hilarious. His argument is mute

Feeney came across very poorly indeed. Thankfully he's not running the show.

Hopefully get Gerry Killeen for the chop next. That'll be Ryan, McConkey and Killeen taken care of then.

I guess I'll have to watch this debate between Sam McConkey - who can, to be fair, veer from one pronouncement to another - and his opponent.

Sometimes people see what they want to see when watching people debating anything Covid related.

But of course the lads here who just want to be told what they want to hear are lapping it up.

Not really a debate. More of a master schooling a novice.

Indeed. Last time we'll be seeing Feeney id say.

Back to reality after those 5 mins of bliss where over on tv3 they want the army brought in to patrol students...ah well.

The key thing in all these fellas being taken apart is debate though. That's the most important thing and what most people want. Debate.

I’d very much doubt it. Probably the only medic that seems to be talking sense. Surprised RTÉ let him on to knock McConkey Off his perch

Jaysus, once again completely opposite views of a segment I haven’t seen. Any honest brokers care to comment who may have - few and far between around here, hmmmm, jimhodge, Stephen?

Feeney came across as a master and one who is in a high risk group with the perspective of intellect

And it’s happening now as people are losing their jobs and livilihoods because of this. It’s probably too late but hopefully the fallout won’t be as bad as we thought

Just watched it Arghus , and would have been sceptical of Mr Feeney . However I think he wiped the floor with Sam McConkey .
It was almost as if McConkey "threw the match", iykwim?
