    OK, fair enough.

Here's The Daily Mail V The Daily Mail.

    https://twitter.com/TheGerrardRoIe/status/1297106343900438529?s=20

It's the Daily Mail! They've done hatchet jobs on Beckham/Rooney, they don't care what they do to people's lives.
Sterling jumped at them with accusation of racism, yet when it was his teammate in the docks, he defended him. He's no angel himself.

    I'm not saying anything different?

I know what the likes of The Daily Mail & other tabloids are like.

I know Sterling is a hypocrite.

It's just interesting to see how these sh1tty tabloids portray the likes of Sterling buying a house for his Mum compared to how they portray the Harry Maguire incident.

    that's all.

    Man U could as well.

Only issue is they would want 6 months to negotiate the price and then just pay the original asking price and by that point he would be at City, PSG or Inter.

City probably. He wants to terminate his contract but that clause expired a few months ago.
The board will be criticised but how much leverage is too much in a contract where a player can choose to terminate it himself.

Versions I've saw regarding Messi's looming exit is Messi is using a clause to terminate his own contract. If true theres no buying just straight to contracts.

It's what they do. Today they'll probably hang Maguire.
Compare what they did with Sterling with Beckham/Rooney. It's what they do.

Marca are reporting he has a unilateral release clause meaning he can leave for free and terminate his own contract.

If true, then a club just needs to pay his salary.

If any team in the Prem, has to be City with the cash to pay, Pep and Aguero being there.

serious question, would anyone be able to tell me if it was the likes of any of us in here who done this & we're found guilty of these charges, what would we be looking at in terms of a sentence?

obviously not a 21 month suspended sentence, I know that much.

You'd probably be let out in the morning and have to pay a token fine.

You wouldn't have been treated the same from start to finish.

Quite possibly something similar to whats been handed down to Maguire. It's funny people are always giving out about the courts being to lenient on people found guilty of various different crimes. Yet when someone famous gets convicted of something, you inevitably get these "if it was an ordinary fella he's be sent away for 5 years", "its one rule for them another rule for the rest of us" type comments.

Or potentially free, as that article you quoted says, if they can argue that the end of season clause should have been delayed due to the season itself being delayed.

Only really a handful of clubs surely that he'd have any interest in going to. It has to be a club that can afford the massive money Barca give him, but that are also already positioned to win everything immediately. Man City, PSG... anyone else?
Apparantly Inter are Inter-ested, but surely that's way too much of a project for him to be going into at this stage. Likewise Utd and Chelsea. Bayern and Liverpool wouldn't spend that much, and Juve couldn't spend that much.

Messi will probably end up at City or PSG.Wouldnt go to United because Woodward would take too long to negotiate a contract. Liverpool couldn't afford him.Chelsea have most of there money spent for this window so won't go there. So either its City or PSG

Can we all just chip so Juve can get him and then we get to see the 2 best players play together.

Maguire dropped from England squad and rightly so.

They’re probably already working on their offer to take him on loan.

I agree, City or PSG the only realistic options.

Seeing Inter Milan at low odds too along with them, shorter than PSG in places, any idea what the deal is with that? Are Inter loaded?

    Merson

Amazing even after those cuts they still have a load of sh!te there working for them. BT much the same should sack everyone and start again with their absolutely pathetic coverage.

The thing with Messi is how this free transfer/700m episode works out. Is it the Spanish courts or the CAS sorts it out? Either way by the time it's sorted the transfer window will probably be over.

Is this irony? Because I can hear this being said in Paul Mersons voice. Like if someone was script writing for 'Merse' this is what they would write.

I presume the panel wasn't diverse enough. I'll miss the banter between them and Stelling.
