Hopefully hard compound will work better for Red Bull

BBC not expecting many to use the hard tyre. It's a lot slower than the medium so its better to use the medium and pit twice.

We'll see what happens as they're about to pit now

    Max losing it.

He lost over a second on the last lap. Unless they plan a 1stop then they really ought to pit him soon.

Red bull looking for second place, max looking for the win.

This is a bit of a snoozefest

Great for Max to come out ahead if the racing points. Fantastic pitstop.

    Tyres changed

Vettel on medium much faster than leclerc on softs. The mediums are the better tyre right now.

Merc shafts Bottas again with that stacking. Twats.

Bottas is closer to Hamilton now than he was before the stop, how exactly was he shafted?

Max is very rattled on the radio

Bottas 'these black overalls are fcuking hot' :pac:

Stroll Perez and leclerc look like they're going for a one stop

Max is only 3.5 seconds behind. That is better than I thought.

Nice clean pass from Perez on Sainz

The front 3 are so far ahead that it'll be a game of chicken for a 2nd stop

    Anyone doing a rain dance????

    I am....

Latifi is in last and is 21 seconds behind the next driver. 30 seconds behind his teammate after 30 laps. Terrible.

Maybe my outburst was a little premature. I'm following live commentary on F1.com and they said that the stacking didn't help Bottas.

Leclerc doing his best to keep everyone awake with some midfield scrapping.

Both Renaults are one stopping, unless there is rain. Hard to believe we're even talking about rain with how hot and sunny it's been all weekend

What's the bet it will rain just as the chequered flag falls?

BBC says rain after lap 50. Wouldn't hold my breath

    LeClerc out

Or not! The engine just cut out, sounds like he'll be retiring

    Safety car!!! Yes

    ...or maybe not :(

Leclerc out Engine problem he says

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,180 ✭✭✭This is it

Ah ffs, LeClerc's engine stalls :/

Ah if you didn't see it that's understandable. It was a clean double stack, commentator at first incorrectly suggested it might have hampered Bottas but quickly recanted

    LeClerc isn't quite out yet.

And now he is - feck sake
