Given how hopeless the softs appear to be it'll be interesting what the strategists come up with. I'd say they are all praying for a few safety cars to allow for cheaper pit stops.

    2 or 3 stop race

Chances of merc using hard tyres in q2 ??

Paul Di Resta commentating on FP3 about Geaoge Russel when he made a small mistake says maybe if he went slower he would not have that happen. No wonder he never got anywhere in F1 because he never bothered to try push but he was also possibly the dullest driver to ever drive in F1 so was no great loss anyway and it seems he is not much better as a commentator either. If there was an award for dull people maybe ge would win one of them.

I Like Paul Di Resta for the simple reason he was able to cement into history how **** Ericsson was, when he was able to beat him in a car he never drove before.

Albon running over that new bit of concrete that was creating the dust clouds last week, will be lucky if no damage was done from the slo-mo replay.

Doubt it ... RB's still have a higher race pace

    Qualifying will be much closer

Russell 6 tenths up on his teammate and into Q2. Raikkonen dead last again

Great lap from Hulk to only need one run. Looks very quick.

He needs to get out of Q2 though. No excuses this time.

That angle of Norris going through Maggots and Becketts was phenomenal

Vettel out in Q2. Something seriously seriously wrong there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,614 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Vettel P12 on a set of soft tyres. The Ferrari's not great but that's a shocking performance

Great lap by Hulk on the second run. Admittedly Hamilton didn't nail his lap on the mediums

Loving the battle from P3 to P10 here as anyone could finish in any of those positions. Shame there's no competition for the front row.

Hulk reminding the world what a great driver he is and reminding Racing Point what a shyte driver Lance Stroll is.

Mercs a whole second ahead of everyone else..... a miracle is needed to make the race win competitive.

Great performance from hulk so far. Real chance of a second row start. Imagine if honey badger can join him!!

Would love if Ricciardo has a second row start tomorrow.

I think a Hulk/Ricc second row (in either order) would probably be the most popular one.

Would be great if Hulk’s performance can put him back in the shop window. He’s easily better than most of the drivers out there.

Medium, Hard, Hard tomorrow? Not sure 2 Mediums and a hard would be up to it.....

    Take a bow Nico Hulkenberg

Fair play to Bottas. Hope he wins tomorrow.

That's incredible from Hulk. How the man doesn't have a seat is appalling

60/1 for Hulk to qualify top 3. Thank you kindly!

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,614 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Hulk drove the car for the first time a week ago and has out qualified the guy who's been driving it for a year. Great lap from Hulk but also shows up the difference between Stroll and others, namely that he can't qualify for ****

Who was it said a few days ago for Hulk to get a podium and Racing Point to then get disqualified.

That was a good qualifying season. Much better and more exciting than last weekend one. Well done to Nico he drove great the same with Ricciardo. Good to see Bottas get the pole. Hopefully we get a good race now tomorrow and maybe Bottas, Max, Nico or Danial to win the race.

    Live long and Prosper

I’d love a Hulk podium so much. Next years drive to survive would be brilliant

Formula 2 feature race starting now... Looking good for Illott in pole. Schwatzman who is leading the championship is down in 11th on the grid.

Llundgard will put in a good race at the front too!! It's the feature race so there will be the mandatory pitstop.

Same its mad odds but don't think I'd have been brave enough considering he only slightly improved in practice pace this weekend (open to correction on that) and he wasn't great in qualifying last weekend

Hopefully Stroll's struggles in the race last weekend were Strolls struggles and not Racing Point's struggles
