Emilio Estevez Tom Hanks - I love Tom Hanks and he had a few good films in the 80s, but I think 90s is his decade.
Kathleen Turner James Earl Jones - one of my nominations, some really great roles for her
John Candy Kurt Russell - a bit more familiar with his films
Dan Aykroyd Dustin Hoffman - Tootsie and Rainman

    Tom Hanks
    Kathleen Turner
    Kurt Russell
Dan Aykroyd - a real tough one but Blues Brothers (especially) and Ghostbusters are enough for me to pick him.

I was looking over Dan Ackroyd's 80s hits

    Blues Brothers
    Trading Places
    Ghostbusters 1 and 2
    Spies like Us
    Caddyshack 2
    Dragnet
    Driving Miss Daisy

    A good decade for him.

Especially who he was against. If it was someone bigger I'd get it.

Steve Martin gone too. He had some classics in the 80s.
Dead men Don't Wear Plaid is one of my faves. They took scenes from old film noir movies and spliced them into the film. Very funny.

I think he definitely peaked with the first two. The Blues Brothers is in my top 5 all-time favourite films.

Top 11 for me (one of only 11 films that I've ever given 10/10 for, I don't rate them beyond that).

(genuinely not a Spinal Tap reference :))

Emilio Estevez, who, to be fair, pretty much had his entire career in the 80s.

You shut your dirty rotten mouth Zaphrey (you know I'm serious as I used the full version of your name), some of the greatest movies Estevez starred in were in the '90s... The Mighty Ducks trilogy!

Not to mention Bobby in the mid-2000s which was a superb and vastly underappreciated film, which he directed and wrote as well as appeared in.

And he's about to star in the upcoming Mighty Ducks TV series.

His '80s Brat Pack years were simply the epic start of long and varied career.

In contrast, bar a few notable movies in the 90s, has he done anything since? I honestly couldnt name one movie he has done in the last 20 years, he has been in loads according to imdb.

Starring John Cusack, who has also departed this competition too soon, although to be fair he was up against Mel Gibson. Great film that.
