    Positive tests Sunday/Monday - 44

What do we reckon, 28 positive retests? Reporting delay? Backlog to be revealed tomorrow?

Think I might give up on the daily figures and only start watching the 7 day average at the end of the week. These daily stats are just too all over the place.

Hopefully they aren't saving them up for the green list announcement.

Does the 6 include the construction site? If so, then there's very few detected outside that cluster which is super news, long may it continue

We're a very long way from the 1st of June anyway at least!

Why is anyone refusing a test and not self isolating, there should be punishment for this
It's the I feel grand we all do with a bit of a cold. These are also people who spend lot of time working outside. If the way the company work is true, it can be contained easily enough.

Healthcare worker stats consistently fairly depressing reading.

If they got positive cases today then they'd be in tomorrows figure

That piece on the healthcare workers at the press conference should be played on all major news outlets over the next couple of days.

Still single figures, a low number.

Explaining the impact the last 4 months has had on healthcare workers, physically and mentally and that many wouldn’t be able for another 4 months like that. Basically a plea to the public to abide by the guidelines for the welfare of those workers.

I presume the healthcare workers are the ongoing testing they've been doing?

Explains the difference in numbers coming from HPSC in the last week and a half so.

Was this said at the press conference? Not watching it this evening myself

They should perhaps announce it in arrivals at Dublin Airport.

So cases more in younger now, will this put house parties off

As long as those attending don't end up in hospital, I would doubt it.

They have a range of language - (very) worried, alarmed, concerned and encouraged.

May not be much use if you don't speak English well.

Looking at your figures, it would seem to suggest that the infected healthcare workers are not infecting the residents in the nursing homes. I think.

Glynn basically confirmed earlier the daily HSE update contains the total number of people in hospital.
11 in hospital today, 8 of which are in ICU.

Yes, my point is that an unenforced requirement for restriction of movement (which explicitly allows for outdoor exercise and shopping anyway) is not enough of a deterrent to make any difference between the two lists. Perhaps the announcement will be accompanied by a tightening of the rules for arrivals from non green list countries

...but you could say that about any of the current restrictions?

There has indeed been very little movement in the older ages recently
