Tried these the other day, Tesco were selling them but a little dissapointing. Had them boiled but there just didnt seem to be enough meat on the bones to make it worhwhile, and where the main bit of meat was there seemed to be "tendons" runing through it.
Is it worth giving a second go and would a butcher have better quality? any tips?

    MMmmm bodice !!

At least that's what they are known as in Cork.
If crubeens are a bit hardcore for you then bodice is a much more approachable sticky bacon feast that must be eaten with your fingers and had with stout.

Pulled out a rack of ribs from the freezer but notice when they were defrosted thay they were bacon ribs rather than pork ribs. ANyone have any good recipies for these rather than just boiling them up in a pot?

Not what you asked for but... boil them up in a pot and serve with good fresh white bread and butter and some Irish stout.

Anyone know why large chain supermarkets will always sell bacon ribs but never sell normal pork ribs?

I noticed this too. I'm not a fan of them. I like the vacuum packed pork ribs in bbq sauce but availability is random.
