Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Thank you again to Oonegative for blazing a trail with edition 1 of the Boards TT: 5k. Thank you to the 2 lads, Swashbuckler and skyblue46 for following up with edition 2: The mile

    Now its time for edition 3 and Healy1835 & I will drive it on with all of your support to make it happen. Hopefully together with this wonderful running community we have can make this another exciting day to look forward to. As before we'll try to compile overall results, age category results and an age graded result. Any help with correcting tables as we go along will be greatly appreciated.

    Attention: Please do not update the table if you are not sure how to. Post any changes you would like made or new entries as a post in the thread. We will update the table every few days. Thanks.


    Event: Your choice of 10mins TT, 10k TT or 10mile TT :)

    Date: Saturday 4th July, Independence Day for some and maybe all if we can get together and run.

    Course: Wherever you want it to be! We wont be as formal about the 5k or mile, those guys were hard. However once you set your goal, just do it on the day. There is a Strava thread on twitter that we can send any messing to :p In the end of the day if you want to record a crazy fun 10min downhill, go for it. Just don't expect us to find a AG grading or include you in overall results!

    Entry Fee: Absolutely free!! If anyone feels like making good use of a virtual entry fee we would be delighted if you threw a few bob in this direction.

    If you join the Strava group could you post on it and mention your Boards username. We can dig them out of previous threads but that will take time.

    When putting your details into the table here would you mind putting in your actual age rather than age category. It's the only way we can work out age grading for the 10k and 10mile.

    Thanks for setting this up. I'm in for the 10 minute TT. Planning to focus on shorter stuff from July so a 10' trial will be the perfect baseline maker.

    Edit: M48 by the way. Prediction? 2.5 km

    I'm arriving back in Lux from Palma Mallorca on July 4th. The previous 3 days will feature quite a bit of activity I think but little of that will involve running.

    Wilkommen everyone. Shotgun and myself will try our best to meet to high standards set by the 3 lads for the last couple of TT's. I'll be having a rattle at the big daddy of the three, the 10 Mile. Stick me down for a PB, 59:41. May or may not be remotely possible but I'll have a rattle at it regardless. I'm sure AMK will join me over the 10 Miles, him being the faster over the distance of course...

    As luck would have it, I had planned to do a 10 mile that very day so count me in. Sub 65 doesn't correlate to my 1 mile or 5k time, but it would be a 1 min PB

    Coyote is me because I came up with the idea, set the boulder up, planned out the crash and am more likely to fall flat on my own face :D:confused:
    RR is healy1835 as well, he is just too fast for GPS to pick up up properly on tight corners ;):D

    All,

    Editing tables takes time. Happy to go over the posts and update the table for ye every few days. Just post your event, AG and goal time or distance and make sure you join the Strava group.

    How does one calculate their predicted distance for the 10 mins? I should be able to run closer to an 8 min mile by July 4th, I cant calculate in kms :D

    Edit 2km should be doable

    Think I’m gonna have a bash at 2.5k in 10 minutes

    I’m going to start a 5k plan soon and I’m hoping to get back below 20 mins before the summers over

    Might be a bit of a stretch but something to aim for

    8min mile pace is roughly 5min per km. For 10mins that's 2km.........I think...

    Haven't raced a 10m in almost 2 years, think I remember enjoying it somewhat :)
