Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Quick question about roof for John Roberts square

    Can anyone remember if there were proposals to put a roof on the square floated about 2008/09. I have a very vague memory of something of that nature.

    Agree, putting roofs on public areas, no matter where is nearly always a good idea.

    I think the idea is that it could then be used to encourage events to be held there, regular markets, concerts etc. etc. More footfall is always a good thing.

    Was the plan to put a roof in Arundel square as well? Was this announced around the time they said they were roofing the Apple market.
