Ha, love it. Apparently that Spandau v Duran one was a proper grudge match,

According to Andy Taylor (the ugly Duran), they cheated. They got hold of the questions before hand, somehow. Yes, I've read his autobiography and Johe Taylor's too. Judge me if you want. Andy dishes the dirt with glee. He really, really, really hates Nick Rhodes.

The shortage of places for contemporary/alternative Irish acts to get their music heard outside the internet is appalling. That said though, I like this thread.

Jools going on my playback recording.

Shame other voices is on so late. Couldn’t be more difficult for Irish bands to promote themselves these days

    RTE 1 21:35 125 min
    Sat 23 May

    Baby Driver (2017) [15]
Edgar Wright's music-themed action thriller, starring Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey and Jon Hamm.
Take the riveting first scene. Three criminals—Buddy (Jon Hamm), Darling (Eiza Gonzalez), and Griff (Jon Bernthal)—leap from a car outside of a bank just as Baby cues up “Bellbottoms” by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in his 'buds. Everything from this point on moves in rhythm with the music from the slamming of the car doors after the bank robbers return to the squealing tires of one of the best car chase scenes in years.

    Your own...personal...cheeses.

In some of the Ross O Carroll Kelly books his father's partner has the surname Joseph. They opened a fine cheese shop on Merrion St. called:

    Cheeses Merrion Joseph.

that new Fontaines song is fcuking excellent

Have to wait until next July now to see them :(

Somebody needs to make a Gaybo biopic with Aidan Gillen, he'd be perfect...

    I'm partial to your abracadabra
I'm raptured by the joy of it all

Absolutely packed out Vicar St in December - one of the standout gigs of last year. I was looking forward to seeing them again myself.
