    India has blue on the dial in the middle. Qatar apparently counts as maroon (= red). Argue that one how you want.

    But Latvia is treated the same - neither make the list.

    (Zaph had it on his list, so I was pointing out why it counted as having red. Might have read a bit confusingly though)

    Albania, I lived there for a summer a few years ago. Amazing place.

    The communist symbols are still EVERYWHERE.

    Qatar because we already have a two-headed bird flag in the next round, and Australia has a Union Flag on theirs, and who doesn't like a bit of zig-zaggy design.

    Montenegro. A bit too similar to Albania but still very nice.

    Flag within a flag is a no no for me so that's Australia out. And I always confuse the Qatar one with Bahrain.

    Tough one.

    Australia's flag is a generic enough "we invaded this place" flag.

    Montenegro's could be viewed as an improvement on Albania, but Albania's has an evil starkness to it that Montenegro's bling can't match for impact.

    I'd have to give it to Qatar - because it zigs and it zags.
