Wind turbines versus Windmills

It's in the word windMILLS, for grinding grain. Seen the tower of one in co. Cork that was used to pump water. I suppose they called it a windmill.
A turbine can be driven by water or wind to generate power. So wind turbine refines it, to exactly what it does.

They're interchangeable depending on native language.
I consider it a difference of speed versus torque. Subjective really.

A turbine is a transducer. A Mill is industrial plant.
