Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

How will you party/celebrate when this crisis is all over?

I'm actually going to stay home and despair as the second wave hits.

I know it's not 'nice' to say it but it's going to happen.

I just want to see my parents and brother again, we're all in different countries, and I'd like to meet my nephew at some stage, but he's in Colombia so God only knows when that will happen!

Dr. Fauci thinks there'll be a second wave too.

What does an involuntary celibate autist loner male have to celebrate? I will go buy myself a big tub of ice cream without having to queue up outside Tesco. I will also have to job hunt again given that I left my wage slave position, however I don't regret leaving my wage slave position as I got much more time to watch the news, etc. When I was working I felt like I was missing out on the whole thing, it is a once in a lifetime thing.

I’ll celebrate by commuting to the office. Sadly looking forward to that bit of normality

I don't know if you're taking the p*ss or not but if you think getting laid and not being celibate is the answer to being content and happy you've another thing coming!

He means the same as myself. Stuck indoors alone with no screaming kids looking to be edumacated. Even the porn stars have (sensibly) taken to solo exploits. We'll make a comedy of this someday.

This is interesting. Golf. Go to the beach. Go on long drives. Hang out with friends. Prob go to a pub or cafe for an hour every evening just to hang out.

There are things that I will keep up from this quarantine, such as daily gardening and diy.

I would always be down in the parents for the dinner today, so that’s first on the list. And returning the favour will be the second.

Was slagging a friend about this yesterday who said the same thing. So I said “you’ll celebrate the end of social distancing and isolation by social distancing yourself and isolating yourself on a golf course!”

This is actually sad for me to think about in a way. Almost all my friends live in other countries and we’ve actually been in touch more now than before.

I don’t have a gang to meet up with when the lockdown is lifted :(

I have a few friends I’m looking forward to seeing, but it’ll be a fairly relaxed coffee, not a big night out.

I live a pretty solitary life too so you’re not alone Kiki, there’s just 2 people who I can’t wait to see

Saw this thread pop up, and nearly had to Google to check when this all started..... thread was started about two weeks into covid - oh my God, but the innocence and naivety of it all 😳

Ritual killing of some kind I'd imagine.

That's my usual go-to repose to mark the end of significant occasions.

Although, I've been wanting to shake things up a bit lately.

I'm open to any new suggestions?
