    Yup, Shepherd’s Pie is far and away the most popular potato dish here with twenty-one submissions! Five players opt for its close relative Cottage Pie, however I haven’t grouped them together because Shepherd’s Pie is traditionally made with lamb whereas Cottage Pie is traditionally made with beef – as far as I’m concerned, that’s a substantial enough difference for them to be considered distinct dishes.

    Similarly I’ve kept potatoes au gratin separate from dauphinoise; the former traditionally contains cheese whereas the latter does not (I am of course an expert on fine French cuisine and totally didn’t need Google to tell me the difference…. >_> )

    Niska and Sawduck introduce some Spanish flair into a round that's otherwise dominated by Irish, British and French dishes.

    I don't know about your Local but it's been a long long time since I've seen Miller on draught (here in Ireland anyway) - it just kinda disappeared a few years back?

    Lots of answers for this question, but Merlot sheeps. Which is good news for Toto Wolfcastle as her closest challenger Sawduck is among those Sheep. Chardonnay is our Heeps.

    We have three variations of Cabernet and a couple of wine regions.
    lassykk and Purple Mountain go for their favourite colour wine, and Mam of 4 goes even more general with her favourite colour grape!
    And davetherave shows off his viticulture credentials by giving us the proper Latin title.
