Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Sorry for short notice people we are asking the local people of west clare to gather individually wearing high vis along the n67 from Kilrush to kilkee to protest of the invasion of limerick and Dublin cars to Lahinch and kilkee over the last few days !
    Stay safe and no more than 2 together please

    Dublin and Limerick reg cars may not be people form Limerick or Dublin.......ignorant assertions there.

    As for the idea, you are obviously complaining about social distancing yet want to go against social distancing, grow up.

    This has to be a joke ? My parents live in Kilkee and the shops ect are well equipped to cope, plus if I go down to deliver food or
    Medicine in my Dublin reg car what’s wrong with that ? All the pubs are closed so it’s not holiday time. What a mean spirited thread

    What about non locals with cars not registered in Limerick or Dublin? Are these people exempt from your protest?

    If u saw Kilkee at the minute u might just change your mind on that . It’s a disgrace there very selfish the civil defence has to patrol the beech , barbecue Yesterday on the beech . There’s only so much people can take

    Do you not realise what a colossal waste of time such an idea would be?

    You're protesting against people who are giving you a very clear demonstration that they only care about themselves. You're not going to change their minds because they don't care about you or the greater good.

    Not a single one of them will realise the error of their ways and meekly apologise before turning and heading for home. They will most likely tell you to F off and mind your own business.

    Get in touch with your local Councillor or TD, they might actually be able to do something about this, particularly if enough of you and those in your locality bombard them on this, strength in numbers.

    Of course the gardai can't do anything - no laws are being broken.

    Councillors and politicians can intervene though - case in point; Wicklow county council this morning announced the closure of the car parks and food franchises at Glendalough to help put a stop to selfish arseholes gathering there.
