Is it a new thing to advertise BMWs by their E number, ie it's an E36 instead of just saying what it actually is by calling it a 318i?

Is it not similar to selling a Golf as a Golf mk5, which could be anything from a 1.4 to a 3.2 or petrol or diesel?

Proof it was enthuasiast owned :)

E30 and E36 its very common. All others would be a 3 series or a 3 1 8 d or whatever... The older ones werent so much about the engine as they were the chassis.

I cannot fathom a single reason this photo was taken or included

I was thinking the same. Get a hose or a few buckets of water and give it a wash before taking the picture.

I thought he was taking the piss a bit with the ad

Wow! Front end looks like it was crashed!

Also bonus points for a picture of the arch/skirt with fresh mud sprayed on it, whatever the purpose of that is!

Before I opened the link I thought to myself, what sort of VOLVO is this?!

It was far worse than I imagined.

I like how he says the front bumper is for a mk5 like it's so seemless we would never spot it

Have you had a peek inside at the 6 voltmeters - and even more unusual, only 2 read the same?

    s-l1600.jpg

    And lets not overlook the engine bay with;
    Dumpvalve on the intake pipe
Volvo rocker cover with no less than 5 breather filters
Underbonnet gauges to read ... what I've no idea

The more you look the more you see

I'd love to see someone try tow it, and all that would happen is that the cover the tow location would pop off :D

Leon FR seats! Love all the piping under the bonnet

Seems like two fuel pressure regulators and two in line filters for some reason. Also love the quick release fittings on the bumper and wing

Nice of them to take a photo with the front lights on showing how much the black tinted lights obscure them!
