How do FG/FF stop SF at the next election?

What must they do over the next 5 years when they (inevitably) go into a Grand Coalition to ensure SF has peaked at 24%? My opinion: 1) Tax cuts - Make people feel substantially better off. Compromise between the €3,000 a year on offer from FG and the €1,300 on offer from FF. Let's go with €2,000 a year. If after 5 years…

Also based on the fact that Ireland went from being the poorest country in Western Europe in 1921 to one the UN ranks 3rd in the Human Development Index. That happened under FF and FG governments. Moderate centrist politics. The few times we’ve gone bust is because FF engaged in the sort of disastrous populist spending that SF want to partake in.

The civil war is long over.
