May bank holiday weekend sorted. The greatest band to ever walk the earth are playing an outdoor gig at Dun Laoghaire Harbour. Tickets on sale next Friday. Think they are about fifty quid. Ash supporting. Can't wait!

They just announced a Coming Up tour, too, although this comes before it. Not that Suede setlists are ever bad anyway. Saw them in London during the Blue Hour cycle and they tore the place down.

Should be good if the die hards are around. They have a habit of doing mammy and daddy fests with ****e crowds. What I wouldn't give to hear the Chemistry Between Us live.

They're the best British guitar band of the nineties. Oh yes they are.

Venue marginally worse the 3 arena, and that's bad

Oh yeah? How so? I haven't been.

Curious about the 3 Arena as well. The only thing that ever sullies gigs up there for me is the occasional scrote that's part and parcel of nearly every Irish gig. Generally great sound, wonderful aesthetic, pretty much an 'up the front' feeling in a good 75% of the standing area etc.

That should read JUNE Bank Holiday weekend. The gig date being in May caught me out rotten!

Link came through this morning and tickets bought.

Now to convince the missus to let me stay up in Dublin the following night for Underworld

Where in DL is it - the seafront between DL & Sandycove. Or actually somewhere at the harbour/on the pier?

Also it's a shame that Echo & the Bunnymen can't be on this night too

    Suede
    Echo
    Ash

    would be even better
