Oh god yeah, so many by Roxy/Bryan Ferry. Especially heartbreak. If I had to choose one - Oh Yeah (On The Radio).

If I was ever asked to define "suave" I'd just show a picture of Brian Ferry.

Nights In White Satin by The Moody Blues. Justin Hayward's voice and that majestic, rising Mellotron chorus.

Another one with slightly simplistic lyrics, but sung by the master Marvin Gaye, is Please Stay (Once You Go Away).

I often rate love songs with how well they work in movie soundtracks, even if the song itself isn't necessarily about love.

With that in mind I nominate Nico - These Days as used in The Royal Tenenbaums.

Come to think of it, I'll also put forward Nick Drake - Fly from the same film. God I love that soundtrack!

    Wicked Game....

The world was on fire but no one could save me but you,
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do.....

My head is suddenly full of love songs.

This one makes me think of the past. Can't listen to it without a lump in my throat.

Please see for me that if she's wearing her coat so warm, to keep her from the howling winds.
