SF haven't had the chance to be in Government to gouge you yet in favour of their REAL core vote who get everything that we pay for their loyal compatriots, And will continue to pay for ad infinitum.

Socialism has never worked worldwide anywhere, Cuba. Venezuela, and so many other countries worldwide. Got to realise that someone has to pay for this largesse. And those who are paying are pissed off now.

Yates and Cooper are just sitting there waiting to butt in on answers.

Wild annoying as they say in Donegal.

You are paying because of 100 yrs of FF FG government power swaps.

There isn't much hope for you, honestly.

Are you saying Ireland is in a worst state than Venezuela for its 100 years of FFG oppression?

One of the most fairest and prosperous countries in the world.

Have you eve ventured outside of Ireland?

I don't think you're wrong, and if you are, not by much (in that Leo just might scrape it by the narrowest of margins)- SO! what's your prediction on another General Election in the next 18 months? :P

    I think there could be 2 G.Es in 2020.

If you think I 'love' any political party then you are sadly mistaken.

    That was MY assumption- apologies.

I just naturally thought that as you are such a prolific poster in favour of that party- Sinn Fein- that you have, at least, some sort of affiliation, or "passion" for that party. Why else would you defend them, as you're doing? Remember, I'm only a poster here debating the issues of the day, so I can only respond, on the basis of how I see others respond.

I've contributed to a number of "election" threads, and i've criticised FG, FF, the Greens and SF, in probably equal measure- funnily enough I haven't criticised Labour, but they're so irrelevant in this election, it reminds me of the David Steel/David Owen spitting image puppets (there, i've slagged off Labour, finally :P)

I just do hope you don't vote Green- please tell me, none of your preferences will be for "Green"? :D

Socialist policies doing very well in Scandinavia under the Nordic models being employed in Norway Finland Sweden Denmark and Iceland.
We have crony capitalism here that we're trying to get rid of and FF and FG are part of that.

All have more homeless than Ireland bar Iceland.

Life long FG voter but prob gonna vote for SF.

Mind me asking why? I am generally on the fence right now. Have done research and still not 100%.

What has turned a life long FG supporter off?

Noonan was out of the traps today endorsing Pascal as Leo's replacement. Couldn't even wait till Sunday the gobsh*te.

Fewer years than than that I think.

Anyway no worries, your beloved SF will come to power one day.

Sure we are paying for your voters anyway. They think it's coming from SF, but in fact it is from those working, contributing and paying.

No medical card for us, or A rated houses within the city limits either. Whether working or not.

Does SF not realise that those struggling are paying for this largesse also?

Give it time if your friends in FG get back in again they'll surpass the Danes, they do like breaking records.

I've explained why I might seem to be a SF voter many times here. Not getting into it again.
You won't see me defending all of their policies here including their economic policy which I think is flaky and in need of a stint in a coalition government tbh.

I think they are ready now for coalition. Simple as.

And yes, my local Green is a first time 21 yr old and I will be giving him a preference purely for having the balls to stand up and be counted. He's a good community activist too.
I have no time for the Irish Green party tbh.

So the Nordic way doesnt work as it's worst than Ireland.

Thanks we must be doing something right.

"Because they've become extremely arrogant and out of touch, having been in power for far too bloody long" was the answer I heard being given to Newstalks Henry McKean by a man with a rather salubrious accent around 2pm today.

Be said he was a life time FG voter and was going to give the shinners a no1 and it was something to do with his 91 Yo mother, who was incapacitated now, in a first floor apartment, who he said he could not get a gp to attend her to give her injections etc, and the chemist wasn't allowed.

That wasn't the only reason, but between being in a crap area and my phone going bananas, that bit stuck out in particular.

How do you define doing something right if year on year things are getting worse. Do you know what the homeless figure was before FG took office. I'll give you a clue , not as high as now.

    Homeless my hole.

More like Wasters and bullies who never tried in school and now the chickens are coming home.

    I've zero sympathy.

This country will more than help you out if you fall on hard times, better than most countries in fact.

But don't con the people with im "entitled" to a house because some left wing party told me so.

The real number of homeless is the rough sleepers, around 150.

The people living rent free in hotels need to grow a set and provide for themselves.

    This world owes you nothing.

And Timmy Dooley to be fair.

    And lisa Chambers.

No doubt they will all reappear.

Unlike Sinn Fein, when you are disappeared you are gone for good, your body wont ever be found.

Lisa Chambers was live on 6.01 news yesterday, Dooley & Collins have been put into storage

    You only mentioned homeless.
What about affordable housing? Do you not realize that people with good jobs are pissed at the cost of housing also?

I think Wasters paying 50 euro a week for a 3 bed house is quite affordable.

If they even bother paying it.

And you want more of this.

    Absolute chancers.

I haven’t seen those posts, nor am I interested- but you’ll need to take responsibility for your posting style, as the likes of me and others see you as a “lover” of SF- it’s something you just have to accept. Or else change your posts.

I’m surprised you admit SF economic policies are “flakey” - I’ve no interest in a party that will “experiment” with my future.

As for voting Green, sorry. given your age, you’re either very wealthy, or have the onset of dementia- can you not remember just how bad they really were? And saying you’re voting “local” while disregarding their party line, is just a pure cop out.

I can see that the only thing you’re passionate about is your boards posts- everything else is secondary to that.

Housing has to be affordable, whether one opts to buy or rent. By building enough affordable housing each year the market cannot continue to run away.

A colossal part of the problem providing expensive housing for a pittance. The system is ****ed. Was watching yet another political debate tonight. It’s all a waste of time and waffle. The system is just too ****ed to address the problems. There are going to be huge seat losses to the left though , there are just so many working people , who would traditionally vote ffg , who are so screwed by the crisis , that they are going to start voting, as, sf , aontu etc

Will SF/FF succeed in their place? I fkn doubt it.

Things like Health where Union rules will NEVER change for the benefit of the clients. Who would challenge them.

That is why Health is Fkd in this country. No one can challenge anyone to provide better services. Any challenge and its Off they go to their Union Rep.

Correct me if I am wrong, quite prepared to be told off.

You call ordinary citizens of our state who you don't know the circumstances of wasters all the time yet i seen you fein outrage at a Paul Quinn comment going back years ago. You are a strange strange bunch. Bi polar from thread to thread

I am not here for advice on who to vote for tbh. You asked I told you.

I am voting Green to encourage a decent young man who has courage. If 'De Greens' get in as a result of that, dems the risks you take with a 4th or 5th preference. :)

I think they really picked the wrong leader who surrounded himself with a poor front bench, as I advised on the thread earlier I was in a parents meeting for children in special needs and Charlie was in attendance. He was very aloof, distance and had a bit of bravado on him as he described to parents whos children hadn't seen much services in the past five years that they were actually investing. It was like he heard just enough to parrot out a canned answer but did not listen to what was being said.

I do find it interesting that long time members are jumping ship as its very telling about where the real problems with the party are.

    AB SF imo.

The rest of them are useless also, but don't have the SF baggage, nor the Army Council at MLMD's door either.
