I'm talking the lines of Sean Penn as the crooked lawyer in "Carlitos Way". He gets a fitting end as well.
Then there's the pilot Denzel Washington in Flight.
Another memorable performance features Nicolas Cage in "The Bad Lieutenant".

One movie stands out for me many younger boardsies will have never heard of it: "The Verdict" with Paul Newman:
An immoral down on his luck lawyer redeems himself in style in this movie: worth seeking out.

Have you any favourite movie featuring a badass cop / lawyer or other white collar fella?

I quite liked Nic Cage character in Snake Eyes

You can't be a bit of OTT acting in these kind of Roles so the previously mentioned Oldman in Leon is second only to Denzel in Training Day

Robin Williams in One Hour Photo. Morally corrupt for a photo developer.

Willem Defoe in Boondock Saints - conflicted more so than corrupt. He's bloody excellent in that movie, but when is he not.

Agree on Kevin Bacon in Sleepers. Despicable character.

Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest is one of the most power hungry conniving and corrupt characters in a movie. With no redeeming features

In The Verdict there's a corrupt lawyer who stays corrupt, played by James Mason. Must be one of the last roles he played, and it got him an Oscar nomination.

    I thought Gene Hackman was
the corrupt politician and Costner was just the loved of the woman that Hackman accidently killed? Costner was just trying to stop himself being framed , while actually being the officer investigating the crime.

    Really good movie....

What about Michael Caine in “Inter Steller”? He lies to Cooper to get him to leave his children behind to die and then effectively wastes the rest of his daughters life on a equation that doesn’t work.
